Dr. Alvi graduated from Allama Iqbal Medical College in Pakistan in 1988 with his Medical Degree, giving him over three decades of experience in his field. After relocating to the United States he completed his internship with the MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center, followed by a psychiatry and neurology residency at Howard University. Wanting to further his training then then completed a Pain Medicine fellowship at Washington Hospital Center and a Neuromuscular Medicine fellowship at Yale University. He is board certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. To stay up to date in his field he remains a professional member of the American Academy of Neurology.
